Directed by Ian Belknap, The Acting Company's associate artistic director, the cast will feature Stephen Bogardus ( Falsettos), Santino Fontana (Importance of Being Earnest), Kathleen McNeeny (upcoming Death of a Salesman), Liv Rooth ( Blood and Gifts), Kelley Curran ( Angels in America), Chad Hoeppner (Come Back Little Sheba, Butley) and veteran actor-director Casey Biggs (HBO's "Too Big to Fall," Showtime's "Shameless").
Charley's Aunt is described as "a comedic masterpiece of love, mistaken identity and men in skirts! Jack and Charley invite their girlfriends to Oxford-properly chaperoned, of course, by Charley's wealthy aunt. When the aunt's arrival is delayed, Lord Fancourt Babberly is enlisted to masquerade in her stead. Of course the real aunt finally arrives and it isn't long before misunderstandings spiral out of control."
The reading will be followed by a reception with the cast and director.
Mainstage Theater is located at 416 West 42nd Street. For tickets, priced $35, call (212) 258-3111.
