Susan Sarandon Joins Third Season of Showtime's "The Big C"; Victor Garber Will Guest Star

Oscar winner Susan Sarandon will join the cast of Showtime's "The Big C" for a multi-episode arc on the series' third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sarandon will play Joy, a cancer survivor who significantly impacts Cathy's (Laura Linney) character. Also scheduled to guest star on the show's third season is Tony Award nominee Victor Garber (Damn Yankees), who will appear on the April 8 season premiere.
Sarandon won the Academy Award in for her performance in "Dead Man Walking." She was also nominated for her performances in "The Client," "Lorenzo's Oil," "Thelma and Louise" and "Atlantic City." Her Broadway credits include An Evening with Richard Nixon and… and Exit the King.
Season three of "The Big C" will begin April 8 on Showtime and air Sunday nights at 9:30 PM ET.
