The Dec. 17 performance, a comedy set in the 1930s, also includes Reg E. Cathey, Linda Powell, Stephen DeRosa and Max Gordon Moore, among others. The production also features legendary saxophone player Lou Marini.
Performances were also held Oct. 15, Nov. 5 and Nov. 26. In 2013, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, WGBH and partner Public Radio International will record and broadcast the American Song series nationally. There are currently 13 episodes scheduled.
American Song is created and developed by Arthur Yorinks in association with senior executive producer Bruce Fagin and Flea artistic director Jim Simpson, who is co-directing the series.
"Each stand-alone play will be modern, edgy, raw and compelling," added creator Yorinks in an earlier statement.
