The Playbill Vault Celebrates Tony Award Winner Ann Reinking
10 Nov 2013
Ann Reinking, who won a Tony Award for choreographing the current Broadway revival of Chicago in the style of Bob Fosse, celebrates her birthday Nov. 10. To mark the special day, the Playbill Vault takes a look at some of her Broadway career highlights.
In 1969, Reinking appeared in the ensemble of Coco, a musical based on the life and career of fashion designer Coco Chanel.
The production opened on Dec. 18, 1969, and starred Hollywood icon Katharine Hepburn in the title role. Hepburn had appeared in a number of Broadway plays, but Coco marked her first (and only) Broadway musical appearance.
