THE SCREENING ROOM: Anne Hathaway Sings Broadway Versions of Rap Songs With Jimmy Fallon
09 Apr 2014
Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway took the stage at "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" to perform Broadway renditions of rap songs.
Hathaway won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie musical "Les Miserables." Her stage credits include the Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night. She was recently appointed to a three-year term on the board at the Public Theater.
Fallon accompanied Hathaway on the piano, and the two sang Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice," 50 Cent's "In Da Club" and Kendrick Lamar's "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
