Damian McGinty, who tied with Samuel Larsen for winner of the reality contest "The Glee Project," will make his way to McKinley High in the fourth episode of the third season of "Glee," which is set to air Nov. 1.
McGinty plays a foreign-exchange student named Rory Flanagan. When Larsen joins the team later in the season, he will play a relative of Puck (Mark Salling).
In the upcoming episode, "Pot ‘O Gold," according to Fox, "a new foreign exchange student, Rory Flanagan (McGinty), enrolls at McKinley and crashes with Brittany S. Pierce who thinks he’s a leprechaun. Meanwhile, Mercedes attempts to recruit new members to join Shelby Corcoran’s (Idina Menzel) newly formed Glee club and Sue’s congressional campaign heats up."
As previously reported, Spring Awakening's Jonathan Groff will make a return to the third season of "Glee" when he reprises his role as Jesse St. James. When he returns to McKinley, he will be the coach of New Directions' rival choir. Also, Chord Overstreet, who played Sam Evans, will return to the series for a multi-episode arc beginning in December.
"Glee" airs Tuesday nights on Fox at 8 PM ET.
