10 Aug 2012
Caissie Levy and Richard Fleeshman, stars of Ghost The Musical, perform an acoustic version of "Here Right Now" from the Broadway musical.
The musical, based on the Academy Award-winning 1990 film of the same name, stars Fleeshman in his Broadway debut as Sam and Levy as his girlfriend Molly. As previously reported, Ghost will play its final performance at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre Aug. 18.
According to producers, "Ghost The Musical is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Walking back to their apartment one night, Sam and Molly are mugged, leaving Sam murdered on a dark street. Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next and unable to leave Molly who he learns is in grave danger. With the help of a phony storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving and protecting her."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
