Theatregoers have to wait until May 16 to see Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch's take on Miss Hannigan in the Broadway revival of Annie, but "Glee" has just released an audio track of her performance of "Little Girls" from the April 22 episode of the Fox musical series.
As previously reported, Lynch will play Miss Hannigan for eight weeks only, May 16-July 14. Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Katie Finneran, who created the role of Miss Hannigan in the new production of Annie, will depart the production at a date to be announced, in order to begin filming a new NBC comedy series with Michael J. Fox.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
