Additional footage has been released from the "Live from Lincoln Center" broadcast of Tony Award-winning Pippin star Patina Miller's American Songbook Series concert, which was broadcast March 28 nationwide.
Miller earned a Tony Award for playing the Leading Player in the Tony-winning Diane Paulus-helmed Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's 1972 musical, Pippin. She departed the production March 30. Miller earned the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. She made her Broadway debut in Sister Act, a role which garnered her a 2011 Tony Award nomination. Miller was recently cast as Commander Paylor in the upcoming "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" film.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
