THE SCREENING ROOM: Idina Menzel, Shoshana Bean, Julia Murney and More Sing "Defying Gravity" (Video)

The hit Broadway musical Wicked, featuring a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, celebrates its tenth year on Broadway this October. In anticipation of its tenth anniversary, Playbill.com looks at performances of Wicked's show-stopping song "Defying Gravity."

Wicked, currently starring Lindsay Mendez as Elphaba, Derek Klena as Fiyero and Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, took home 2004 Tony Awards for Best Scenic Design ( Eugene Lee), Best Costume Design ( Susan Hilferty) and Best Actress ( Idina Menzel). It was also Tony-nominated for Best Actress ( Kristin Chenoweth), Best Book (Holzman), Best Choreography ( Wayne Cilento), Best Lighting Design ( Kenneth Posner), Best Orchestrations ( William David Brohn), Best Original Score ( Stephen Schwartz) and Best Musical.
