THE SCREENING ROOM: Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel Sing Les Misérables' "The Confrontation"
31 Mar 2014
The hit comedy "How I Met Your Mother" airs March 31.
When the cast gathered at "Inside the Actors Studio," an audience member asked Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel to sing "The Confrontation" from the musical Les Misérables. The two had previously performed the song on "The Megan Mullally Show."
The two gave an impassioned performance, with castmate Cobie Smulders, who had been sitting between them, moving out of the way mid-song.
Harris is currently starring in Hedwig and the Angry Inchon Broadway, which began performances March 29 prior to an official opening April 22.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
