THE SCREENING ROOM: Priscilla's Luke Mannikus Goes Behind the Scenes at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (Video)
11 Dec 2011
Luke Mannikus, who plays Benji in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, performed in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Here, the young Broadway actor took the camera behind-the-scenes to document his experience.
In honor of the upcoming Kid's Night on Broadway held in February, Givenik.com handed over a flipcam to Mannikus to document his experience as a child actor on the Broadway stage.
At the parade, Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon joined his Priscilla co-stars, Will Swenson and Nick Adams, for a mashup of "I Love the Nightlife" and "I Will Survive." Mannikus shows the rehearsal process for the musical number as well as last minute preparations on Thanksgiving morning.

Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
