THE SCREENING ROOM: Shia LaBeouf Discusses Firing from Broadway's Orphans (Video)

On the April 1 broadcast of "The David Letterman Show," actor Shia LaBeouf discussed his departure from the Lyle Kessler drama Orphans, which is currently in previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

The production was originally scheduled to begin March 19 but was postponed following the announcement that Ben Foster would replace LaBeouf — who departed the company "due to creative differences" — in the role of Treat. (Read more about LaBeouf's departure here.)

Daniel Sullivan directs the three-person drama, which also stars Alec Baldwin and Tom Sturridge.
