Cast members from the Fox hit musical series "Glee" will once again cover the music of pop artist Britney Spears in an upcoming episode entitled "Britney 2.0," which airs Sept. 20.
Here, Spring Awakening star Lea Michele, who stars as Rachel Berry on "Glee," covers Spears' "Oops I Did It Again." Berry, who has left her Ohio hometown to pursue her big-city dreams at the fictional New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, finds herself challenged by her NYADA dance professor Cassie, played by recurring guest star Kate Hudson.
Songs in the episode also include "Hold it Against Me," "Gimmie More," "Boys/Boyfriend," "3," "Everytime," "Crazy/(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "Womanizer."
Here's how Fox describes the episode: "Brittany S. Pierce is in a funk and turns to her icon Britney Spears’ music for inspiration! Meanwhile, Rachel struggles to adjust to life in New York, but is helped by her newfound NYADA friend, Brody Weston."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
