The Skivvies to Play Pittsburgh with Guests Nancy Anderson, Courtney Balan, Michael Campayno and More
10 Feb 2014
Nancy Anderson, Courtney Balan, Michael Campayno and Elizabeth Broadhurst will join The Skivvies for a series of concerts at Pittsburgh's City Theatre beginning Feb. 13.
Actor-musicians Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd, Marry Me a Little) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up) are the duo behind The Skivvies, known for their acoustic performances of pop songs, wearing nothing but their underwear. Molina, Cearley and their guests play instruments ranging from the cello, ukulele, guitar and glockenspiel to the melodica.
The Skivvies will perform Feb. 13-15 at 8 PM, with an additional late-night 10:30 PM show on Feb. 15.
The evenings will include stripped-down musical appearances by Anderson (Kiss Me, Kate; Wonderful Town), Balan (Cry Baby, In My Life), Campayno (NBC's The Sound of Music Live!), Broadhurst (Mary Poppins), Hanna Shankman (Hair, Side Show), Hayley Nielsen, Joshua Elijah Reese and Bria Walker.
Set in the magical world of La Belle Epoque Paris, where fashion, glamour, and passion prevail, Lerner and Loewe's celebrated musical is a romantic comedy about one young woman's journey to find her true self... and her true love.
