Plummer is the winner of an Academy Award, two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a SAG Award and a BAFTA Award. His stage credits include Cyrano, Barrymore, Inherit the Wind, King Lear, No Man's Land and The Good Doctor.
