The Disney stage musical Aladdin, featuring new and existing songs from the 1992 animated film, officially opened on Broadway March 20 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
Tony Award-winning director-choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon) is at the helm of Aladdin, which — through bright colors and flashy choreography — takes audiences to the Middle East. Previews began Feb. 26 following an out-of-town engagement at Toronto's Mirvish Theatre.
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
