The Sydney Theatre Company's production of The Maids, starring Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, officially opened Aug. 8 at the 2014 Lincoln Center Festival at New York City Center.

Blanchett, who won the Academy Award in 2013 for "Blue Jasmine" and who played Yelena in Sydney Theatre Company's production of Uncle Vanya at the 2012 Lincoln Center Festival, plays the maid Claire under the direction of Benedict Andrews.

Performances run through Aug. 16.

French film star Isabelle Huppert plays Blanchett's older sister Solange with Elizabeth Debicki as their mistress, in the tight and fraught play by Jean Genet in a new translation by director Andrews and Blanchett's husband Andrew Upton.

The critics have filed their reviews, and Playbill.com has collected them for our readers. Playbill.com will continue to update our list as the reviews come in.
