Tony Award-winning Million Dollar Quartet cast member Levi Kreis will offer Where I Belong: An Intimate Evening with Levi Kreis Nov. 1 at Chicago's Apollo Theater.
The concert, which is titled after Kreis' latest solo album, marks a homecoming for the musician-turned-actor, who first appeared at the Apollo in the Chicago world premiere of Million Dollar Quartet. The juke-box musical continues to play that venue (with a different cast) through Jan. 2, 2011.
The 7:30 PM concert at the Apollo will also feature singer-songwriter Jason Antone.
Kreis repeats his Chicago work as rock 'n' roll pianst Jerry Lee Lewis in the Broadway run of Million Dollar Quartet. He earned a Best Featured Actor in a Musical Tony Award for his performance.
Tickets for the upcoming concert, priced $25, are available by phoning (773) 935-6100. The Apollo Theater is located at 2540 North Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
