Rock of Ages Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis, most recently on Broadway in the revival of Jekyll & Hyde, joins the 80's rock band Jessie's Girl for six consecutive Saturday night performances at the Canal Room beginning Sept. 21.
Show times for the six Saturday performances are 8 PM and 11:30 PM.
The 80's-themed program features songs by Bon Jovi, Journey, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince and more. Jessie’s Girl includes vocalists Jenna O'Gara, Chris Hall and Mark Rinzel, along with "Back To The Eighties" veterans Eric Presti, Sky, Drew Mortali and Michael Maenza, all dressing and performing as 80's icons.
About the performances "American Idol" finalist Maroulis recently told Playbill.com, "Jessie’s Girl is an amazing ensemble of players and singers — everyone is featured. It's a real songbook show, a celebration of great popular songs from the eighties. I'm so excited for everyone to meet them in the Broadway scene."
The Canal Room is located at 285 West Broadway. For tickets visit canalroom.com or call (212) 941-8100.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
