Tony Nominee Jason Moore to Direct "The Nest" With Amy Poehler and Tina Fey
and "Pitch Perfect" director Avenue Q Jason Moore will direct "The Nest," a new film comedy to star Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, according to Showbiz411.
Poehler and Fey will play sisters who are finally forced to move out of their family home when their parents decide to sell it and move into a condo. Before they go, they'll throw one last party.
Jay Roach is producing the film that is set to begin shooting in New York City in June. The film is based on a screenplay by "SNL" writer Paula Pell.
Fey is also at work on a musical adaptation of her film "Mean Girls."
Moore also staged
Shrek and on Broadway, as well as the world-premiere musical Steel Magnolias Tales of the City, which features a score by Jake Shears and John Garden of the Scissor Sisters.
