The Tony Awards Administration Committee assembled for the first time during the 2011-2012 season the afternoon of Nov. 3.

The productions discussed include Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark, Master Class and Follies

The rulings follow:

On the play front:
Tyne Daly will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in Leading Role in a Play category for her performance in Master Class.

On the musical front:
Reeve Carney will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical category for his performance in Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark.

Jennifer Damiano will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her performance in Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark.

Julie Taymor will be considered eligible in the Best Direction of a Musical category for Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark.

Playbill.com has also learned that Philip Wm. McKinley will not be eligible for Best Direction for Spider-Man, and both Daniel Ezralow and Chase Brock will be eligible for Best Choreography for that musical. Taymor will also be eligible for Best Book of a Musical along with Glen Berger and Roberto Aguirre-Sucasa.

All other decisions were consistent with the opening-night credits. That is, only actors whose names appear above the title are eligible for nomination in the Leading Actor/Actress categories. Producers must petition the Administration Committee in order to change actors' eligibility status.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee is composed of 24 members: 10 are designated by the Wing, 10 by the League, and one each by the Dramatists Guild, Actors' Equity Association, United Scenic Artists, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.

This committee "determines eligibility for nominations in all awards categories, reviews the rules governing the awards, and appoints the Nominating Committee. It may, at its discretion, bestow non-competitive Tony Awards including Special Tony Awards, the Regional Theatre Tony Award, and the Isabelle Stevenson Award; as well as Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre."

The Tony Awards are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League.
