Two-time Tony Award winner Donna Murphy will guest star on the April 13 episode of CBS' "The Good Wife," Playbill.com has learned.
Murphy will play Judge Alice Adelson in the episode entitled "A Material World," which will air April 13 at 9 PM ET.
Here's how the episode is described: "Alicia and Diane consider merging their firms in the wake of Will’s death, even as they find themselves on opposite sides of a contentious divorce suit. Meanwhile, Alicia offers assistance to Finn when it becomes clear that the State's Attorney is looking for a scapegoat in the Jeffrey Grant case, on 'The Good Wife.'"
Murphy won Tony Awards for her performances in Passion and The King and I and was Tony-nominated for Wonderful Town, Lovemusik and The People in the Picture. She will soon be seen in the new television series "Hindsight."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
