Tony Winner Kristin Chenoweth to Appear at London's Royal Albert Hall in July
07 Mar 2014
Kristin Chenoweth, who had been scheduled to do a short U.K. tour last March that included dates at London's Coliseum and in Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff but was canceled at the last moment, will return to the London stage for a one-night-only concert at London's Royal Albert Hall July 12.
Chenoweth won the Tony Award in 1999 for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was nominated in 2004 for her performance as Glinda in the original company of Wicked and has also been seen on Broadway in Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree and Promises, Promises. She is also known for film and television work, including "Glee," "Pushing Daisies," "The West Wing" and the recent ABC series "GCB." She has also been a guest judge on "American Idol."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
