Tony Winner Patina Miller Cast in CBS Pilot "Madam Secretary"

Tony Award-winning Pippin star Patina Miller has landed a role in the CBS pilot "Madam Secretary," according to Deadline.com.
Dave Semel will direct the dramatic pilot, which was penned by Barbara Hall. Tea Leoni stars.
The CBS Studios and Revelation Entertainment pilot, according to Deadline, "explores the personal and professional life of maverick female Secretary of State Elizabeth McGill (Tea Leoni) as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life."
Miller has been cast in the role of Daisy, McGill’s press coordinator.
Broadway favorite Miller will play her final performance in Pippin March 30 at the Music Box Theatre.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart.
