Town Hall Will Feature Brian D'Arcy James, Christine Ebersole, Tommy Tune, Nightlife Awards, Adam Jacobs and More

A host of theatre-related events will be offered at Manhattan's The Town Hall in the coming months.

On Dec. 16 at 3 PM and 8 PM the New York City Gay Men's Chorus will present its annual Holiday Spectacular, which is titled An American Holiday. Special guest for the two performances is Grammy-winning singer Judy Collins.

On Jan. 14, 2013, at 7 PM the annual Nightlife Awards, which honor the best in cabaret, comedy and jazz, will be presented. The awards boast "no acceptance speeches"; instead, the winners perform to demonstrate why they were chosen.

Two-time Tony winner Christine Ebersole will be the special guest at a Jan. 19 concert featuring The Whiffenpoofs of Yale University. The evening, which begins at 8 PM, will "raise funds and awareness to prevent pediatric HIV infection and to eradicate pediatric AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs."

Scott Siegel's Broadway by the Year Series will continue with four separate evenings: Broadway Musicals of 1937 (Feb. 11 at 8 PM), Broadway Musicals of 1961 (March 11 at 8 PM), Broadway Musicals of 1972 (April 29 at 8 PM) and Broadway Musicals of 1988 (June 3 at 8 PM).

Former Les Miserables stars Adam Jacobs and Ali Ewoldt will reunite for a Valentine's Day concert a week after the actual holiday (Feb. 23 at 8 PM), and Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James will make his solo Town Hall debut May 11 at 8 PM. The singing actor will offer a mix of Broadway, pop and American standards.

Multiple Tony winner Tommy Tune will offer Steps in Time June 1 at 8 PM. Tune will celebrate his 50 years on the Great White Way; he will be joined by The Manhattan Rhythm Kings.
