Houston's Theatre Under the stars will present the national tours of Billy Elliot and Rock of Ages, in addition to resident productions of Curtains and Hairspray as part of the 2010-2011 season.

A fresh resident production of the Tony-winning hit Hairspray will run Oct. 5-17. The musical based on the John Waters film has a score by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman with a book by Thomas Meehan and Mark O'Donnell.

The national tour of the Tony-nominated musical 9 to 5, featuring a score by country music legend Dolly Parton, arrives Nov. 9-21. The stage production has a book by original screenwriter Patricia Resnick.

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical will usher in the holidays Nov. 24-Dec. 5. Based on the Broadway production, the tour promises songs from the animated cartoon including "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas."

The ten-time Tony Award-winning musical Billy Elliot will spark electricity in Houston Feb. 23-13, 2011. Also based on an acclaimed film, the stage production boasts a score by Elton John and features the work of original film creative team members, including director Stephen Daldry, choreographer Peter Darling and book writer/lyricist Lee Hall.

A new production of the Kander and Ebb musical Curtains, a backstage whodunit where everyone in the cast and crew is a suspect, will run March 26-April 11, 2011. Nominated for eight Tony Awards, Curtains features a book by Rupert Holmes, with a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and based on a concept by Peter Stone.

The final offering of the season will be the national tour of Broadway's Rock of Ages May 31-June 12, 2011. The Tony-nominated musical about a musician with a dream on the Sunset Strip rocks out to the hits of the 1980's including songs from Journey, Styx, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison and Whitesnake.
