Houston's Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) has announced complete cast and creative team for Disney’s The Little Mermaid, which will run June 13-29 in Hobby Center’s Sarofim Hall and then play Atlanta's Fabulous Fox Theatre July 8-13.

Glenn Casale directs the musical, which is based on the animated film of the same name. John MacInnis will choreograph with musical direction by Craig Barna, who will also conduct.

The cast will be led by Jessica Grové (Ariel), Eric Kunze (Prince Eric), Liz McCartney (Ursula), Christian Probst (Flounder), Alan Mingo, Jr. (Sebastian), Steve Blanchard (King Triton), Matt Allen (Scuttle), Ben Roseberry (Jetsam), Scott Leiendecker (Flotsam) and Dale Hensley (Grimsby) with Kristine Bennett, Audrey Cardwell, Matthew DeGuzman, Marjorie Failoni, Thay Floyd, Julie Kavanagh, Morgan Kirner, Michael McGurk, Sarah Meahl, Dennis O’Bannion, Robbie Roby, James Shackelford, Billy Steeves, Katie Ulrich and Jessica Wockenfuss.

"In a magical kingdom beneath the sea," according to press notes, "the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Based on the enchanting 1989 Disney animated film and one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages."

The score features "Part of Your World," "Kiss the Girl" and the Academy Award-winning Best Original Song, "Under the Sea," composed by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and his longtime collaborator, the late Howard Ashman, as well as new songs by Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater. The book for the musical is by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Doug Wright.

The production will also have lighting design by Charlie Morrison and sound design by Kit Bond.
