06 Aug 2014
MAC Award winner Adam B. Shapiro, who was seen as the "bearded, leather-loving teddy bear Bella" in HBO’s "The Normal Heart," will make his 54 Below debut in September.
Entitled Nothing Normal, the performance is scheduled for Sept. 2 at 9:30 PM.
Shapiro will be joined by special guest Danielle Ferland, the Broadway actress who was also seen in the recent cable broadcast of "Normal Heart."
Nothing Normal is described as "an eclectic mix of songs and stories celebrating the hilarious and precarious sides of life, including some anecdotes from behind the scenes of the movie. Audiences can expect everything from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Weird Al Yankovic, Adam’s personal favorite."
Peter Napolitano will direct the evening with musical direction by Barry Levitt, who will lead the Barry Levitt Trio.
54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street. There is a $25-50 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com.
