The sixth annual Living for Today concert, which is titled My Favorite Things, will be held Jan. 19, 2014, at 7 PM at Joe's Pub.

Conceived and directed by David Alpert (If/Then, The Trip to Bountiful, The Best Man), the concert will feature Emmy, Tony and Grammy nominee Vanessa Williams (Into the Woods, The Trip to Bountiful), Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Side Show, Next to Normal) and Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid, "30 Rock") as well as The Skivvies members Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up). More performers will be announced at a later date.

The concert will include the actors performing songs that celebrate their "favorite things." Jason Wetzel (After Midnight) is musical director.

Living for Today was created in honor of the late Gilana Alpert by her brother, David Alpert, and is now in its sixth year. Gilana's Fund was established in 2007 following the loss of Alpert at the age of 26. The fund, which has raised over $30,000, "celebrates and encourages educational programming promoting acceptance and understanding of our communities, each other, and ourselves." The 2014 recipients will be announced from the stage that evening.

Tickets are priced $20, $30, $40 and $100 (VIP with premium seating and post-show reception). There is a $12 food and drink minimum; reservations are encouraged. Visit JoesPub.com.
