Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson and Tony nominee Martin Sheen will star in "September Morn," an upcoming feature film by Howard Cohen that is based on the events of 9/11.
Joining Harrelson (The Rainmaker) and Sheen (The Subject Was Roses) are Ed Asner (Grace), Esai Morales (Salome), John Heard (The Glass Menagerie), Tony nominees Daniel Sunjata (Take Me Out) and Valerie Harper (Looped), Nick Mancuso, Joseph Culp, Judd Nelson, Dick Gregory (Eddie Fisher at the Winter Garden) and Michelle Phillips.
The feature film, directed by B.J. David, will "provide a unique take on the tragic events of 9/11, addressing series of questions that remained unanswered — until now. 'September Morn' will provide an insight into the findings of the 9/11 Commission, intertwined with provocative perspectives of expert architects and scientists, CIA and Department of Defense officials, Department of Homeland Security officials and concerned American citizens."
The Fleur De Lis Film Studios project is currently in pre-production.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
