Wright, Vergara and Hewitt Set for Chicago's "Talkback" Series
20 Apr 2009
Chicago's "Talkback Tuesdays" series, the post-show discussion series that launched in 2008 with director Walter Bobbie, will continue in April and May.
Following the April 21 performance of the long-running, Tony-winning revival of Kander and Ebb's Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre, current Velma Kelly Amra-Faye Wright will take part in a discussion and question-and-answer session.
Broadway's newest Matron "Mama" Morton, Latina superstar Sofia Vergara, is scheduled for the May 5 "Talkback," and May 19 will feature Chicago regular Tom Hewitt, who plays slick lawyer Billy Flynn.
All three discussions will be moderated by Chicago casting director Duncan Stewart.
The series, according to press notes, is designed to "provide theatregoers with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Chicago."
Tickets for the "Talkback Tuesdays" performances are available by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
The Ambassador Theatre is located in Manhattan at 219 West 49th Street. Visit www.ChicagoTheMusical.com for more information.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
