York Theatre Company Will Offer A Conversation with Sheldon Harnick

The York Theatre Company, as part of its Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series, will present A Conversation with Sheldon Harnick Feb. 10 at 7:30 PM at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter’s.
James Morgan, York Theatre Company producing artistic director, will join Tony-winning lyricist/librettist Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me, Fiorello, The Apple Tree) on stage at The York Theatre for a one-on-one conversation about this Pulitzer Prize-winning writer’s extensive career.
“This promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity full of history, laughter, and insider tales from the Golden Age of Musical Theatre,” said Morgan in a statement. “I am thrilled to continue our Musical Conversations Series with Sheldon Harnick, who has become a good friend of mine and of the York's.”

The York Theatre Company continues the Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series Celebrating Sheldon Harnick with Dragons (Jan. 31-Feb. 2), Malpractice Makes Perfect (Feb. 14-16), Smiling, The Boy Fell Dead (Feb. 21-23) and Tenderloin (March 7-9).
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
