Mamet's Duck Variations and Pantheon Begin L.A. Run May 11

A double-bill of David Mamet plays — The Duck Variations and the world-premiere of Keep Your Pantheon — begins performances May 11 at the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, CA.

Aristophanes' Frogs Leaps Into NYC in World Premiere, Old Comedy

Classic Stage Company presents Target Margin Theater's world premiere of Old Comedy from Aristophanes' Frogs by David Greenspan, based on — as the title would suggest — Aristophanes' 405 B.C. play Frogs, opening May 11.

Little Mermaid's Bailey Injured Prior to May 10 Performance
10 May 2008 -- Adrian Bailey, a member of the ensemble of the new Disney musical The Little Mermaid, broke both his wrists prior to the May 10 matinee performance of the new musical at the Lunt Fontanne-Theatre.

Today In Theatre History: MAY 11
11 May 2008 -- 1903 In The Runaways with a book by Addison Brukhardt and a score by Raymond Hubbell, the hero is transported to a tropical island and will be made a king. The catch? He must marry the queen. The show will run nearly 21 weeks at Broadway's Casino Theater.
