London's Billy Elliot Extends Booking to December 2010; New Billy Joins

The original London production of Billy Elliot, which received its world premiere at London's Victoria Palace Theatre in May 2005, has extended booking through Dec. 18, 2010. The show is also currently at Broadway's Imperial Theatre, and has also played in Australia in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Andrew Lloyd Webber Hospitalized Again

Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, who underwent an operation for prostate cancer in late October, has been hospitalized again. According to a statement on his personal website, "Andrew has been re-admitted to hospital tonight following his operation for prostate cancer. He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a post-operative 'chronic infection' which needs immediate treatment. He still hopes to back at work in the New Year."

BBC Launches Star Search for Wizard of Oz's Dorothy
17 Nov 2009 -- The BBC has launched the star search that will be conducted via a new primetime reality TV series, "Over the Rainbow," as previously announced, for Andrew Lloyd Webber's new stage version of The Wizard of Oz, to be presented in the West End in 2010.

Dreamboats and Petticoats Will Return to West End in 2010
17 Nov 2009 -- Dreamboats and Petticoats, a musical inspired by a pair of compilation albums featuring some of the greatest hits songs from the rock 'n' roll era, is to return to the West End, resuming performances at the Playhouse Theatre from Jan. 6, 2010, after the current tenant, La Cage Aux Folles, vacates the theatre Jan. 2.
