Helen Mirren Rebukes Drummers Outside West End Stage Door During Performance of The Audience

Dame Helen Mirren publicly remonstrated a party of 25 gay drummers who were playing outside the stage door of the West End's Gielgud Theatre during a performance of The Audience.

Richard Greenberg's The American Plan to Receive London Premiere at St. James Theatre

Richard Greenberg's The American Plan will receive its London premiere at the St. James Theatre, beginning performances July 2 prior to an official opening July 8, for a run thorugh Aug. 10, in a transfer of David Grindley's production that was recently seen at Bath's Ustinov Studio.


John Barry and Don Black's Billy to Receive First London Revival at Union Theatre
03 May 2013 -- Billy, the 1974 musical with a score by the late John Barry (music) and Don Black (lyrics) that originally starred Michael Crawford at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, is to receive its first London revival at the fringe Union Theatre. It will begin performances May 29 prior to an official opening May 31, for a run through June 29.

National Theatre Extends Booking for West End Transfer of Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time Through October 2014
03 May 2013 -- The National Theatre has extended the booking for the West End transfer of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, adapted by Simon Stephens from the book by Mark Haddon, through Oct. 25, 2014, and put an additional 250,000 tickets on sale.
