Philip Rose

Philip Rose, a Broadway producer who bet—and sometimes won—on unlikely theatrical projects, including several works that advanced the cause of African-American stage artists—most famously the original production of Raisin in the Sun—died May 31 2011 in Englewood, NJ. He was 89.
