Horton Foote, most recently represented on Broadway with the acclaimed Dividing the Estate, died in Hartford, CT, March 4, 2009. The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright was 92 and had been living in Hartford temporarily to work a cycle of his plays to be produced by Hartford Stage. His actress daughter Hallie Foote told the New York Times that her father died after a brief illness.
