Farrah Fawcett, who became an instant celebrity and a cultural icon of the late 1970s as one of the original stars of the television phenomenon "Charlie's Angels," died June 25, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She was 62. Ms. Fawcett had a brief brush with theatre, appearing in Off-Broadway's Extremities.
