Michael Gibson, the two-time Tony Award-nominated orchestrator who had a long working relationship with composer John Kander, died July 14, 2005, in New Jersey after a battle with lung cancer, his agent Mark Sendroff confirmed. Mr. Gibson, 60, had been in hospice care recently. He is currently represented as co-orchestrator of Broadway's All Shook Up (with co-orchestrator Stephen Oremus).
