Ms. Hussey was Oscar-nominated for playing Liz Imbrey, the saucy photographer-colleague of Jimmy Stewart in "The Philadelphia Story."

A Providence, RI, native, Ms. Hussey graduated from Brown University and studied acting at the University of Michigan.

A talent scout reportedly spotted in her in a tour of "Dead End" (which happened to be her professional stage debut) and she landed a contract with M-G-M.

Her movie career included "Northwest Passage," "Flight Command," "Our Wife," "Tennessee Johnson," "The Uninvited," "Bedside Manner," "The Great Gatsby" (1949), "Stars and Stripes Forever" and "The Facts of Life."

She was the wife of presidential candidate Ralph Bellamy in "State of the Union" and was a replacement actress in Goodbye, My Fancy. She played Julie Cavendish in The Royal Family at City Center in Manhattan. She also performed in stock and touring companies in the 1940s and '50s.

She is survived by two sons, a daughter, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
