SYNOPSIS: The small Syrian-Jewish Brooklyn community in which 16-year-old Lily lives a cloistered life with her much older husband is all she knows. Soon an unlikely relationship with her enigmatic new African-American maid Blanche opens up her world to new opportunities--but at a big price.
