In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Ridiculous Theatrical Company, Theater Breaking Through Barriers presents the first New York revival of Charles Ludlam’s brilliant comic suspense thriller The Artificial Jungle. Directed by Everett Quinton, The Artificial Jungle is a film noir story of love, murder and piranha fish!

SYNOPSIS: A campy send-up of the suspense-thriller genre, especially movies like The Postman Always Rings Twice, Little Shop of Horrors and Double Indemnity. In the play, pet shop owners Chester and Roxanne hire the mysterious drifter Zachary Slade to help out around the store. When Zachary and Roxanne begin an affair and plot to murder Chester in the piranha tank- the fur begins to fly.
