2014, the Breakout Year of Lena Hall

Lena Hall began her Broadway career in 1999 when she joined the cast of Cats as Demeter. Since then, she's had roles in 42nd Street, Dracula, the Musical, Tarzan and Kinky Boots. But it was her role in 2014's Hedwig and the Angry Inch that put her over the top and made her a bona fide Broadway star — her portrayal of gender-bending Yitzhak earned her a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Here, Playbill collects 5 video moments that show Hall getting into character, rocking out, bidding farewell to a friend, showing off her rock band The Deafening and waxing philosophical about the power of "My Little Pony." Watch Playbill's most viewed videos of 2014.
