Act in a Box: Tony Winner Christine Jones Stages "Theatre for One"

Theatre For One — the brainchild of Tony Award-winning set designer Christine Jones (American Idiot) — recently made its second appearance in Times Square, and Playbill was there. The immersive theatrical experience is exactly what its name suggests: One actor and one audience member are enclosed in a mobile 9-by-4-foot box, a mini-venue complete with lights, sound system and air conditioning. Challenging the actor-audience relationship as never before, it's an genuine example of theatre artists thinking outside (or inside?) of the box. For more information, visit theatreforone.com.
