10 Reasons Why James Corden Should Host This Year's Tony Awards | Playbill

News 10 Reasons Why James Corden Should Host This Year's Tony Awards It's the most wonderful time of the year for New York theatre lovers — awards season! And, one question everyone on or off Broadway is asking is who will host the 2015 Tony Awards?

In recent years, the annual awards have been hosted by Tony winners Hugh Jackman and Neil Patrick Harris, but perhaps it's time to bring some new people to the stage of Radio City.

Corden made a big splash in recent months with his performance of the Baker in the film adaptation of Into the Woods and his new gig as host of CBS' "The Late Late Show," so here's why he should make Radio City his next stop.

1. He doesn't have to travel very far… He already works for CBS.
