News 12th Annual Gender-Reversing Broadway Backwards Concert Sets Spring Date Tickets went on sale today for the March 13 Broadway insider event.

The 12th annual Broadway Backwards concert—featuring male singers performing songs traditionally sung by women and women singing tunes written for men—will be presented March 13 at 8 PM at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Broadway Backwards 12 is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits Broadway Cares and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.

Last year’s event raised a record $480,287 and featured a 67-person cast of Broadway and screen stars backed by a live onstage orchestra.

Creator Robert Bartley will again direct and choreograph with musical supervision by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and musical direction by Laura Bergquist. Choreography will be created for the show by Bartley, Christopher Rice, and Adam Roberts.

Tickets, which begin at $85, are available starting January 18 by visiting Broadwaycares.org or by calling (212) 840-0770, ext. 229. Higher price VIP tickets include premium seats and a special post-show cocktail reception with the cast. A limited number of “Backstage & Beyond” ticket packages also are available, which include the opportunity to see the dress rehearsal, exclusive backstage access, a meet-and-greet with some of the stars of Broadway Backwards, premium seats for the show and more.
