Well, folks, Old Man Winter finally checked into the Great White Way last night for the opening night of Fiddler on the Roof! There wasn't any snow, but it certainly was chilly enough outside the theatre! But inside, it was all hugs and kisses for the love-fest at this revival and the stars came out in droves to spread the love and bask in the holiday cheer!
Annaleigh Ashford was chic-as-could-be in that midnight violet velvet jumpsuit! The cut-outs were sexy-as-heck and very daring for the cold weather! I give Annaleigh a purple-heart and a gold star for "Fashion Fortitude!"

Candice Bergen was fabulous in her black-on-black brocade tux! From the bow-tie and the shawl collar down to her embellished slippers, she was style personified. And her Hollywood savvy on the red carpet circuit taught her to slip off her outerwear so the photographers could snap up her glamour!

Leanne Cope was right on trend with her simple dress in dusty mauve-pink. Leanne's make-up and hair are always so lovely, and the bag and necklace accentuated her ensemble beautifully. Bernadette Peters was bundled up cozy and warm on the red carpet, but we were craning our necks to see what that fabulous lace and satin dress was underneath the coat. Leave it to Bernadette to even feature stylish outerwear. There wasn't a red carpet, you say? Bernadette's holly-berry-red clutch more than made up for it! A big "thank you" to Ms. Peters for a Broadway season of style and taste at every venue she's graced!

A black!-black-BLACK! and sequins-to-the-floor halter-gown, she surprised the heck out of everyone when she turned her back and featured sexy-skin for days! Not since Jean Harlow did the same thing in all white in Dinner at Eight have there been such gasps!

Star-of-the-show Danny Burstein ruled the night in a classic "window-pane plaid" suit and a cheery argyle plaid tie... with his Tevye whiskers and the Savile row styling, the whole effect was both modern and Edwardian-Christmas at the same time... and what can we say about beautiful Rebecca Luker except that she twinkled!...literally twinkled on Danny's arm in her black and silver lace ensemble with the leggings! A hearty congratulations and the happiest of holidays to everyone who celebrated this great revival! #andScene!
