Up until her acclaimed performance as the middle lady in Three Tall Woman, Seldes was best known for her lengthy stint in the Broadway smash, Deathtrap. This despite already winning a Featured Actress Tony for A Delicate Balance and a Tony nomination and Drama Desk Award for Father's Day.

In Moon, Seldes plays the wheelchair-bound but imperious and slyly vivacious Madame Desmermortes. Other recent credits have included Ivanov at Lincoln Center, for which she received a Drama Desk nomination, and the Mark Taper Forum mounting of Tongue of a Bird.

Inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame in 1996, Seldes recently became widowed from her husband, writer Garson Kanin, whom she married in 1990.
