Annie Get Your Gun, the first major New York revival of the 1946 classic not to star Ethel Merman, has won for Best Musical Revival.

For the revised revival, the Dorothy and Herbert Fields libretto and a portion of the score by Irving Berlin, have been edited to suit modern tastes. Peter Stone (Titanic, 1776) has penned a new book.

The musical stars Bernadette Peters as sharpshooter Annie Oakley, filling the boots of Merman, who played the role in 1946 and in a 1966 Lincoln Center and touring revival.

Barry and Fran Weissler, in association with Kardana, Michael Watt, Irving Welzer and Hal Luftig, are producers.
